Both classes of FAS policy fellows spent one week in Washington D.C. in December 2002 getting a first hand look at the current political climate of food and agriculture policy making in Washington D.C. In addition to attending the Farm Journal Forum, fellows met with staff from the US Department of Agriculture and leaders of several key non-governmental family farm advocacy groups.
