Netherlands and Belgium, October 2001
The 2001 Food and Society Policy Fellows, W.K.Kellogg Foundation
representatives and IATP staff traveled to Europe for one week to

agriculture.
During their four days in the Netherlands the fellows met with
representatives from the Sustainable Finance Section of Rabobank,
visited farms implementing innovative conservation programs, and spoke
with officials from the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture and the
Environment. The Fellows also stayed at bed and breakfast farms to
experience one of the Netherlands's regional tourism initiatives. The
tour ended with one day in Brussels meeting with representatives from
the agriculture committees of both the European Parliament and
European Commission to discuss the changing agricultural policies in
the European Union.
